Enersave: Development of Methods for the Design of energy-efficient verified Systems

The project ENERSAVE focuses on energy reduction of telecommunication systems. The analysis of the user behavior in conjunction with the integration of formal meth-ods in power aspects of the design process allows the proposition to gain a 30% power reduction of communication systems compared to present solutions. The consortium covers the main actors of communication system development: Alcatel-Lucent as system manufacturer, Infineon as IC Company, OFFIS for design tools, and the research partners (TU Kaiserslautern, TU Chemnitz, TU Dresden) also for research exploitation. The proof of power reduction is shown on real ICs and systems of the industrial partners.
