Siemens intends the acquisition of Mentor Graphics
Siemens and Mentor Graphics signed an agreement on the takeover of Mentor by Siemens for $ 37.25 per share in cash on November 14, 2016.This equates to an enterprise value of $ 4.5 billion. AENEAS Agenda 2016 has been published
On October 18, 2016 AENEAS published its strategic research agenda. The "AENEAS Strategic Agenda" describes describes the ambitions of the AENEAS members in co-operative R&D&I activities, together with the anticipated contributions in resolving societal challenges and creating economic value for Europe. It builds on the Vision, Mission and Strategy (VMS) on R&D in European Micro-and Nanoelectronics, issued previously by AENEAS together with CATRENE back in 2013. News from ECSEL and PENTA regarding new projects
A few days ago the Joint Undertaking ECSEL has published its Multi-Annual Strategic Plan 2016 (MASP) and the corresponding Work Plan 2016 (WP). From the latter one the ECSEL-Calls for 2016 (release of both calls on March 15) will be derived. At the ECSEL Brokerage Event on January 26-27 in Strasbourg further information is expected. As in the last years edacentrum represents its members on this event and will collect information. Furthermore AENEAS is pleased to announce the first call by the new PENTA EUREKA cluster. Deadline for the submission oft the project outline is March 15. The edacentrum will support any initiation of your projects appropriate for these calls as it did during the preparation of the underlying strategies and roadmaps. Contact us.
EDA Achievement Award 2016 is offered as a reward
The EDA Achievement Award 2016 is now offered as reward. Propose someone or apply for it until February 22, 2016. Details (in German only) can be found in the "Auslobung des EDA Achievent Awards 2016". The reward will be lend during the edaWorkshop16 (May 11-12, 2016) in Hannover.
