Hannover, July 3, 2012 - From now on the edacentrum presents itself in a more modern, distinct and user-friendly way and appears in a new "look" and with new features and content. Members and project partners have their own access-controled area with additional information and features. The access is possible here at any time.
DATE 2013 - Special Days on High-Performance Low-Power Computing and Electronic Technologies for Smart Cities
Grenoble - DATE 2013 will take place at Alpexpo in Espace Alpes Congrès in Grenoble, France, from 18-22 March 2013. Special Days in the programme will focus on two areas bringing new challenges to the system design community: High-Performance Low-Power Computing and Electronic Technologies for Smart Cities.
FP7 Project "SmartCoDe" at CeBIT 2012: Saving Energy through ICT
One of the major challenges today is the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. In this context, small buildings and neighbourhoods account for approx. 40% of the overall energy consumption in Europe. While presenting first results at its booth at CeBIT 2012, the FP7 EU project SmartCoDe demonstrated to Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission, that microelectronics can be the key enabling technology to solve the problems.
"eda10trum" - The edacentrum celebrates his 10th anniversary
Ten years ago, supported by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research the edacentrum has been founded by the German industry. In charge of the founders the registered association bundled, reinforced and supported German research and development in EDA. This was an important step taken to giving the EDA in society, politics and industry, the place that it deserves as a key to Microelectronics and thus the products of the future.

Since September 9th the "newsletter edacentrum 01 2011" is available. All members and partners in IKT2020 projects will get it by mail. Non-members have the opportunity to receive the newsletter edacentrum by subscription. More detailed information (in German only) can be found here.
